Skanem Group is strengthening its position in Scandinavia by introducing one management across the label factories in Skurup, Hobro and Stavanger. Skanem will now through efficient use of printing technologies and competence be able to offer an even better product and service package to customers in Scandinavia. With this change, Skanem also confirms Scandinavia as a priority region for the Group going forward. The new set-up enables the region to have its own dedicated sales team with in depth knowledge of Scandinavian market conditions and customer requirements, with access to all printing technologies in the region.
Unique position in Scandinavia
CEO and Owner of Skanem, Ole Rugland believes this is an important step forward for Skanem: ‘We believe that we will now strengthen our position in the region through adding value to our customers and by offering more cost efficient production as well as a better and more advanced product and service offering. Eric White, who is now Managing Director of the Skanem Skurup site, will take over the role as Managing Director for Skanem Scandinavia: ‘I am looking forward to taking on this role and I believe the timing is right for Skanem to do this, with customers’ increased service demands and expectations as well as label requirements across multiple countries.'
Eric White will continue as site leader in Skurup in addition to the new role as Managing Director for the Scandinavian region. He believes Skanem has a unique position with this new structure: ‘We have three factories in Scandinavia and access to a lot of customer knowledge and experience. The task going forward will be to strengthen our long term customer relations even further and make use of all the printing competence available in the region. With this we believe we will strengthen our position as a leading producer of self adhesive labels and labelling solutions in Scandinavia.’ Published 17 Dec 2009
