Skurup is comfortably situated approximately 10 minutes from Sturup airport and 40 minutes from Kastrup airport and with good road connections (E65).
Skanem Skurup is mainly producing labels for the markets for home care, personal care, automotive and industrial chemical as well as for food and beverages. The Skurup site works closely with its system solutions provider, Skanem System AB, based in Linköping.
Labels are more than a means of disseminating information - they are a central part of marketing. The label most often carries the brand, passes on information and is a part of the logistics chain. Labels can be applied to a huge variety of materials that can withstand a wide range of environments. Skanem has a long experience in promotional campaigns and creating attractive label solutions together with the customers marketing organisation. We can also lease the necessary application equipment for the duration of the campaign.

Skanem produce most sorts of labels and can therefore cater for almost any label needs. If we can't supply your needs out of Skurup, some of the other ten sites in the Skanem Group surely can. Some special examples below:
Skanem Reclosable
Skanem Reclosable is a specially constructed label that allows you to reseal the pack. Consumer packaging for moist towelettes, cheese and bread are typical examples of usage. Skanem Reclosable is very easy to open and easy to reseal.
Skanem Peal n'Read
On many consumer packages, you need as much as possible of the available space to promote your brand and the brand values but at the same time, legal requirements on information and language versions are steadily growing. The solution could be our Peal n'Read label that lets you add several pages on top of each other with space for all required information.
Skanem Sleeve
A proprietary system for very visible marking of packages for meat, salads etc (see also info on Skanem System site). You have excellent opportunities to inform your customers about the contents of the package and at the same time expose the product. The system consists of an applicator and the consumables needed.
Pharmaceutical labels
Extremely high quality requirements are characteristic for the Pharmaceutical industry. Skanem has dedicated a special plant to secure such production in accordance with all relevant quality systems as GMP and Pharmaceutical Supplier Code of Practice. Production
We have a flexible machine park of eight printing machines running in 2- and 3-shifts. We have an annual production of 13 000 orders covering about 13 000 000 m2 material. Our capacity in all of our printing techniques like UV-Flexo and Combi - UV-Flexo/Silk screen/Foiling as well as Water-Flexo makes us able to produce a wide range of products.
Our machine park is very modern and efficient. We have three new UV-Flexo machines and a new Computer To Plate (CTP) pre-press and plate making system that allows us to make labels in a superior quality.
Pre-press/original
In our repro department we adjust your originals for printing - we have all the necessary technique and competence in-house. We also help you avoid the pitfalls and see new opportunities so you get the best possible results. We are here to help.
If you don´t have an original or if you want to make changes to your original we can help with suggestions and ideas.
The management of originals
Before sending originals, please contact us to discuss file formats etc. so your quality can be maintained and unnecessary loss of time is avoided.
There are different possibilities to supply us with originals:
If your file is not larger than 5 MB you can send your material by e-mail to: repro.skurup@skanem.com
If your file is larger than 5 MB please copy your material to a CD and send it to your contact person at Skanem Skurup. You can also contact our repro department: repro.skurup@skanem.com or your contact person to get log in information to our ftp server.
