Wax, wax/resin or resin?
Wax
Wax ribbons are used predominantly for vellum labels or other uncoated paper materials. Wax also gives good ink results at high printing speed and is the most economical option in large print quantities.
| Wax/resin |
Ribbons with a combination of wax and resin are mainly used on coated paper labels, but can also work well in various synthetic materials. The element of resin provides, compared with a pure wax band, higher resolution and better resistance to abrasion and set-off.
| Resin |
Resin ribbons are primarily intended for use on synthetic materials. The marking is characterized by very high resistance to abrasion, high temperatures, chemicals, alcohol, oils, liquids, etc.
